The Valdecilla brand, created in 1929, has been cited more than 90,000 times by the international biomedical literature, according to data obtained on the Web of Science platform.

Citations 2016 The Valdecilla brand is not only a consolidated brand in our region and in our country, which the Cantabrian people respect and treat with affection, and which Spanish doctors consider as a reference in certain fields of medicine. It is also known internationally as the data from the scientific literature show.

According to these data the works published by the authors who have in their affiliation the brand Valdecilla (exclusive brand worldwide of our Hospital) have been referenced in more than 90,000 times by international literature, a clear sign of the prestige and impact of the activity Of the professionals of the University Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla. These citations are growing year by year, in a relevant way (see figure).
