IDIVAL has opted for the creation and implementation of an Area of Clinical Trials within the Central Unit to support the Institute’s research as a key area from a strategic point of view, which supports the conduct of clinical trials and Ethics committee for Clinical Research of Cantabria. It has an Clinical Trials Agency and Clinical Trials Unit.

IDIVAL is part of the Platform SCReN (Spanish Clinical Research Network) of the Carlos III Health Institute, and support of Clinical Research and Clinical Trials through this area.

Clinical Trials Agency

The agency gives methodological and scientific support to researchers as an integral advice in the planning and execution of the research project. Also it performs tasks of managing and processing documents relating to the trials, including clinical trials contracts that are made throughout the public health environment of Cantabria.

It also provides administrative support through its agency, computer, and spaces the Ethics Committee for Clinical Research of Cantabria.

Clinical Trials Unit

 

It supports the development of intervention studies on patients of high complexity, and specifically Clinical Trials Phase I, II and III of researchers who require their services. It depends on Clinical Pharmacology Service of Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital. 

It is located in Pavilion 15-2 Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital.The unit has obtained ISO 9001-2008 certification in 2015.
