Session: “Liver fibrosis regression after hepatitis C eradication”
Ángela Puente has a degree in Medicine from the University of Cantabria and she is a specialist in digestive system after her MIR training at HUMV. Later on, he moved to the Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona, for his undergraduate training in portal hypertension and hemodynamic hepatic. He gained his PhD in Medicine with a distinction Cum Laude in 2013 with the doctoral thesis: Optimization of the prophylaxis of upper digestive hemorrhage due to portal hypertension: endoscopic, pharmacological and metabolic factors.
He is a currently member of the Hepatology Unit of the HUMV Digestive Service, focusing his activity in the field of complications of cirrhosis and clinical research.
Speaker: Catalina Díaz Ríos
Session: “Pseudomonas aeruginosa en la fibrosis quística: Evolución del sistema de secreción tipo VI (T6SS). Identificación y caracterización funcional de nuevos componentes del T6SS”.
She is graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cantabria. Master in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at the University of Cantabria. She is currently a 2nd year student of the PhD program in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine of the University of Cantabria. Since October 2015, he has been working on antibiotic resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in patients with cystic fibrosis and the characterization and evolution of the T6SS of this pathogen under the direction of Dr. Alain Ocampo in the Epidemiology group and pathogenic and molecular mechanisms of infectious diseases. and clinical microbiology.
The meeting will take place on May 16, in lecture room 2-3, (1st floor) pavilion 16 of the HUMV and has a capacity of 30 people.
Researchers who attend 80% of the meetings throughout the academic year will receive a certificate of assistance.
