Dr. Jose Maria de la Torre Hernández is an interventional cardiologist at the Marques de Valdecilla University Hospital (HUMV), with more than 20 years of experience as a clinician and researcher, and is currently at MIT at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering within the Laboratory of Professor Elazer R. Edelman with a scholarship granted by IDIVAL. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, known as the “MIT”, is the best Polytechnic University in the world where 85 Nobel Prizes have crossed.

From MIT, Dr. De la Torre has shared his experience and has showed the Massachusetts Institute of Technology;

De la Torre brings his extensive experience in interventional cardiology to the projects of this pioneering center in advances that combine engineering and health, contributing with his clinical vision to projects in which engineers, biologists, mathematicians and professionals of very diverse profiles work. The knowledge acquired during his stay will return in the clinical practice of Valdecilla.
