The IDIVAL brand exceeds 20000 references in the international scientific literature

The IDIVAL brand, an acronym for the Instituto de Investigación Marqués de Valdecilla, created in 2014, has been cited more than 20,000 times by the international biomedical literature, according to data recently obtained on the Web of Science platform.

According to these data, the more than 2,500 works published by the authors who have the IDIVAL brand in their affiliation (exclusive brand worldwide in our region, linked to the Valdecilla brand) have been referenced more than 20,000 times by international literature, signal clear of the rapid growth in prestige and the impact of the Instituto de Investigación Marqués de Valdecilla. These citations grow year by year, significantly and in 2020 they have exceeded 7,000 citations, with an average of 8.4 citations per job and an H index of 58). Currently more than 21 works have received more than 100 citations in the international literature. These are indicators of the impact and visibility of scientific activity.

The first work published with the Valdecilla brand in 2014 was the following: Genre F, López-Mejías R, Miranda-Filloy JA, Ubilla B, Carnero-López B, Blanco R, Pina T, González-Juanatey C, Llorca J, González-Gay MA. Despite its youth, the IDIVAL brand is not only a consolidated brand in our region, it is also known internationally, as evidenced by data from the scientific literature.

The calculation of the citations has been carried out using the descriptor "IDIVAL" in the "address" field of the search engine of the Web of Science (WOS) platform.
